* An intranet is a network inside an organization.

1. That uses internet technologies e.g. web browser service, TCP/IP, HTML etc.
2. To provide an internet like environment with in the enterprise.
3. For information sharing, communication, collaboration and support of business process.

1. Communication and collaboration:-
* To communicate with others.

* Discussion group.
